The Volunteer Network is a virtual volunteer center designed to connect individuals looking for ways to give back to their communities with organizations that need their time, talents, and passion. Powered by Golden’s award-winning software, The Volunteer Network combines practical back-office support, such as automated scheduling and data-tracking, with a fun, easy-to-use portal to help promote volunteerism and build meaningful connections throughout our community.

The Volunteer Network is powered by Golden, and managed in partnership with Forefront, United Way of Knox County, and Greater Warren County United Way.

The Volunteer Network is a virtual volunteer center available to any individual, organization, or community group living or serving in Knox, Warren, Henderson, and Mercer Counties, Illinois.
Who Can Join The Volunteer Network?
Any individual, nonprofit, company, school, or community group living, working, or serving in Knox, Warren, Henderson, and Mercer Counties can join The Volunteer Network. Whether you're looking to increase volunteer engagement, or looking for ways to give back.
How much does it cost to join?
Thanks to our partners at United Way of Knox County and Greater Warren County United Way, The Volunteer Network is a FREE community service! Nonprofits and community organizers serving Knox, Warren, Henderson, and Mercer Counties are eligible to sign up for a free community-level subscription ($300/year value) through The Volunteer Network. Service upgrades such as priority support and CRM integration can be purchased on an individual basis through Golden directly. Our virtual portal is also free to all individuals living, working, or visiting our service area.
How do I get Started?
I’m a Community Organizer (at a Nonprofit, company, school, or group): To sign up and begin posting volunteer opportunities on our free volunteer portal, organizers will need the name of the Organization or Group, a website URL, and a point of contact (name and email address). Follow the link below to become a Community Partner and start connecting with volunteers today. Be sure to check the “Request to be a Partner” box to connect your organization to The Volunteer Network portal.
How do I get Started?
I’m a Volunteer: To start sharing your time and talent with local organizations, simply follow the link below to create your free volunteer profile. Individuals will need to provide their full name, email address, and zip code. Individuals may also use their personal Facebook account to login. That's it! Follow the link below to become a Volunteer and start connecting your passion to purpose today. The Volunteer Network and it's partners will NEVER share your information with a third party vendor.
